Was up before the sun. So ready to go to Green Mountain, Missouri and show my dear Darlin' my new Toy car I bought yesterday. Stoked the stove, woke up Marty to tell him I was taking off. He's enjoying the day off snoozin'. Beautiful day out. Headed West on Hwy 54, turned left on Hwy 5 at the light in Camdenton. Traffic is light this early in the day for the holidays. Just South of I-44 in Lebanon, turned left onto Hwy 32. Sad to see that the deers are gone now, and new buildings are here on the right. Driving this 2 lane road, have Jonny Lang singing the blues, going to see my dear Darlin', it's been too long. In Lynchburg, turned right onto Hwy 95 and headed down to the junction of Hwy 95 and Hwy JJ. You see the bright green mountains before you get to town. Turned into the drive, got out and opened up the gates. Folks coming out of the church across the road, drove down the path thru the cemetery, turned around in open spot and pulled up beside the stone. Had a good, cleansing visit with Darlin', tears, laughter, memories, stories of our family, when I hurt too bad, he'd play the windchimes, 'cause there was no breeze, thanks, dear Darlin' for keeping me sane. I do miss you so. You'd be so proud of our children and our 3 sweet grand daughters, only Sarah was lucky enough to know and love Grampy. Got to start loving Briana last year at age 7, and you knew Phoenix Joe Mailyn before she ever took a breath, she looks so much like you. Dark eyes and a head of dark hair. Now, she looks and acts like her Momma, Robin. I love you Darlin', come ride with me back over these Ozark Mountains, I know you're with me, I feel you. Cleaned up old flowers that had blown around this hillside and visited with the 'ol Man, Grandma, Aunt Verde and Uncle John, Aunt Bonnie and Curt, Aunt Dorothy, Fred, Marlene, Orval. Too many Sullens' are on this beautiful mountain, one day, I too, will "come home to Wright County". Beautiful sunshine as I head out, Subdudes and Collective Soul jam with me on the back way home.

The look on Marty's face today, when I said I was gonna make my living on the computer again. Yes, it's been 2 years since I've done any html. I didn't want to have anything to do with web pages. Now, I'm so HAPPY to be back out in the world wide web. By the time I get 2005 pages up, it's gonna be after midnight and January 22nd, or as folks we know call it, Joemas. It was my dear Darlin's birthday. Hope to have a chance to travel, movies, spending all day with my children and grandchildren and friends tomorrow. It was hard getting thru the 16th, but after a day of music and tears, making homemade tortillias and hot spicy burritos for everyone did the trick and made me feel so much better. Our children are FUN as big people, Marty is 5'6", the only one of us that made it above 5' YIPPEE So glad he took after the Sullens side! Been going to Blues Society jams again and joined the local Lake Writers Guild., they are all nice folks and my inspiration these days. It's been so very cold and wet this month, only it was rain and not much snow. But then, we'd get 2-3 days of 50's and 60's and everyone would be out and about stocking up supplies for the next storm coming through. Feels more like Colorado than Missouri! If only I could lose the humidity! Phoenix Joe has 2 teeth now on the bottom, Briana is loving her new friends and Sarah is growing like a weed! I'm so very proud of all of them.
