Wonderful raindrops as we head West on Hwy 54. Everything is so GREEN! All the trees have full leaves now. Lots of traffic out and about. Welcome to the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. See many iris in bloom now, even see some Shasta daisies in the field. Gasoline is 174.9 today. Yellow flowers are blooming between the lanes of highway and on the bluffs. You can see the towers blinking light up in the gray sky. More wildflowers at West 54 and Business 54 intersection and light. See a purple vintage car coming through the light going East. Hey, here's a gasoline station for 169.9. Hard to think of that as a bargain. Oh, well, we all gotta have it. See that the Lee Mace Opry is back open. This is their 49th year here at the lake. Tourist season is now officially open! Today it's 70 degrees and I love it. Darlin' is turning left onto Hwy 42. On the right is one of our favorite JCAD stores, Osage Beach Flea Market. Had a great visit with Don and Darlin' took lots of great pictures and I passed out JCAD brochures to everyone there. Good luck to the folks looking for vintage girl scout memorabilia. Hope they do put their request in the JCAD guestbook. We're done here today, and away we go down to the Post Office and over to drive through the state park. The view is lovely. A beautiful back way home. Now, the sun is shining and the sky is blue. Enjoy!

Beautiful sunny day as we head East on Hwy 54. Stopped at a swap meet and flea market East of Eldon and met George. He's running the place every weekend. We wish him great success! Also met the nice guys at the Antlers International. They have monthly sales of all kinds of exotic animals! And they are online! Stopped by Hickory Hill Antiques and left brochures with Diane. So good to visit with her, hope she tells Clark hi for us, too! Took Hwy D, such pretty flowers, really nice ride, crossed the Moreau Creek. All the bottom lands are plowed and disked and have such black dirt! Saw one farm with row after row of peach trees. Beautiful log home on the left. Stayed on Hwy D after stopping at the Hwy D and C junction. Into Lohman, population 154. The cows seem quite happy, can't hardly see them as the grass is so tall! We've never been this back way before. Curvy road, beautiful views of farms, cows, ponds sparkling in the sunshine. Many patches of iris and peony bushes in bloom in many colors. Sure are pretty and smell good, too. Wheat fields and green forests, blue sky with white puffy clouds. Into the community of St. Martin, population 717. Taking Hwy 50 to Apache Flats. Passed out many JCAD brochures and talked to many businesses about being a JCAD sponsor. Worked hard all afternoon, now taking the beautiful back way home to get busy printing more brochures. Need a couple of hundred to run the North Hwy 13 and North Hwy 65 routes. Ya'll be careful and enjoy the ride. Mother Nature is being good to us today.

Beautiful sunshine as we head East on Hwy 54 through Eldon, then taking Hwy 52 West towards Versailles. All the ponds look good today. All full and shining in the sunlight. You can smell all the big batches of wild roses. They are in bloom everywhere. Several houses have huge peony bushes in full bloom, reds, pinks and whites. Into Versailles, population 2,365 and many yard sales going on in town today. Followed Hwy 52 West through town, seeing several trucks pulling their boats. Welcome! Fields of fescue have topped out. On down the road and into the community of Stover, population 964. Left brochures at Evans Toy Store. See a man on a tractor brush hogging the right of way, crossed Haw Creek and now into Benton County. Everything is so green and pretty. See a beautiful huge pond on the left and someone's down by the pond running a weed eater. Huge blankets of wild roses, smell great as you drive through them. Stopped at a new store in Cole Camp, MO. It's called P.J.'s Emporium. Met and had a nice visit with Judy. Wish her the best of success! Hope she comes to see our site. Now we're driving through the detour and left on Hwy 65. The new road construction is everywhere. Into the town of Lincoln, population, 874. Stopped at a new antique mall and met the owner, Mindy. It's a great place and called the Rigbyville Complex. It has the Kittyhawk Bar and Grille, an Antique Mall, Rock Shop and Computer Store! Please stop by and tell 'em JCAD sent ya! We'll surely be back again soon. Want to have the time to visit the entire building. Would love to add these folks to JCAD. You can find them on Hwy 65, halfway between Warsaw and Lincoln. On down to stop at the Truman Lake Visitors Center. We always enjoy a picnic here, the Osage Indian displays are excellent and the panoramic view of Truman Dam and the lake are fantastic! Folks out fishing in their boats and from our birds eye view, we could see the big fishes coming up around them. Saw some huge fish! Also got to see a group of vintage car folks, they were out cruising the lake today. Great stretch of the legs and off we go down about a half mile to another new antique mall called The Persimmon Tree. Nice place, busy, left brochures and got a business card. So glad to see they're on I-land (some of our favorite folks!) We love finding new stores, hope they come see our work, we'd love to have them on our site and in our brochures. On down the road the back way to come out on the new Hwy 13 into Lowry City. The whole town is out and about having a celebration. Downtown is blocked off, booths of arts, crafts, plants, collectibles. Looking for the folks from the Missouri Chigger, one of our favorite magazines. Didn't find Joe and Sylvia, but we did find a table with their paper. Left a stack of JCAD brochures with them and Darlin' got a couple of good pictures of the festivities. Heading on down the new lanes of Hwy 13. Feels strange to be driving over on the right and no incoming traffic. It's wonderful! Down to visit at one of our favorite stores, Trade Fair Mall. All these folks are doing good and glad to hear that their son is graduating tonight! Congrats! Darlin' is busy taking new pictures, I'm busy writing down information and passing out JCAD brochures to all the folks we met. Thanks Kathy and Paul, we had a great visit. It's warming up as we had towards the towns of Hermitage, passed out brochures to the antique stores and on down to Wheatland to do the same. We got to visit with Leona at her shop and met two of her friends and 1 little dog. The ladies all got a JCAD brochure! We also got to go inside the Old Church Antiques and meet the owner. We've been trying to visit with this store for years. Left many a brochure on their door, nice to catch them open. What a GREAT place! Left her JCAD information. It was mighty hard to see all the great displays and not take pictures or write about all the things we saw. Would love to have this store in JCAD. Back traveling down the road. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful day. Blue skies, cool breeze now and then and wonderful sunshine and 70's. We really did enjoy it out and about today. Had a great picnic on the way home. Lots of traffic out, but rolling smoothly. Be careful and enjoy your trip to our area. We look forward to meeting you as we give you one of our JCAD brochures! Until next time! Keep those e-mails a comin'!

Absolutely beautiful out as we head East on Hwy 54. The state mowers have been out and it looks nice where they have mowed. Bright blue skies filling quickly with big white, fluffy clouds. The wind has picked up quite a bit the last houror so. The humidity is low, it's a clear day and 70's, to me, that's just perfect! Business Hwy 87 has a detour now, you'll need to get off on the Business 54/52 exit. Many new roads and bridges being built. It's great! Took the detour route, turned left and crossed the bridge. See many ox-eye daisies on the hillsides. Into the town of Eldon, and turned right onto Business 54. Across from the airport, we turned into the driveway of Anita's Keepsake Kottage. Darlin' is busy taking pictures outside and I went on in to see how everyone is doing. Anita is busy painting on a table in between classes today. So many new items in the store, many nice pieces of furniture.
