08/10/02 My Darlin', Marty Tate and Little Ray worked all day measuring, cutting, tearing out, installing new bathroom fixtures and a new floor. Got to do some moving around, looks bigger and better! Thanks so much! I kept them in refreshments as it's mighty hot out today here in Mid-Missouri. Not much breeze but at least 85% humidity. It was quite the job, several trips to Lowe's later, we are happy with the results! So glad they built a Lowe's here in Osage Beach on Hwy 42 and glad they stay open late! Lots of traffic out after the hot sun went down! Always many things to do this time of year here. Hope you can come visit our area soon! 08/15/02 Darlin' and I have appointments at the Pain Management Clinic in Columbia, MO. They are some nice folks. He's learning to deal with severe diabetic neuropathy, I'm having radiofrequency ablation of nerves in my left side. If any of you, back way readers, know anything about these subjects, we'd love to hear from you. Please keep us in your prayers. 08/20/02 Up as usual. A beautiful day out, cool breeze, sunshine, bright blue skies here in Missouri. Got to pick the first seeds from our redbud trees, several of our flowers are starting to make seed, too. I've been gathering seeds each fall all my life. My Grandmother, Eula Johnson, taught me long ago. Tate and I got busy picking out schoolbooks for the new year of Sullens Home School. Jesse came over to kidnap him for an afternoon swim and supper. He's a happy boy! Darlin' and I out and about some this evening, got to have a lovely meal, served with love by our oldest daughter, Ray. Then on down to check the mail and head over to the park. The full moon is sparkling and dancing over the water of Lake of the Ozarks. Some nice boats going by, folks out enjoying the view! This is the oldest and largest State Park in Missouri. Bring your tent and come camping! What a lovely day! Come ride along with us again soon! 08/22/02 My Darlin' was up busy working when I got up. He's been programming since 1982, he computes all he can. And it's a crying shame so many folks send virus' and worms' to destroy our computer. It's how we make our living and we have to constantly fight them off! So much down time, takes the fun out of computing, lost utilities, programs, blood, sweat and tears from hours upon hours of work my Darlin' has done. It breaks my heart. Any suggestions would be appreciated. On a brighter side, we've gotten into a habit, I guess, it's been 3 weeks, of trying to take a walk in the evenings in our neighborhood. It makes us feel better. I've really enjoyed watching the moon come up each evening and the stars and planets are twinkling bright. Hope you come walk the back way with us again soon! 08/26/02 I must write and tell Robin congratulations on her first day at Kay's! If you come to the lake, on Hwy 54 beside the tower for Wal-Mart is a restaurant called Kay's! Best breakfast at the lake! Robin is the new waitress! We know almost all the folks there from many years of enjoying their fine service and great food. Just don't cry on Wednesdays, yes, they are closed! Hope you can come enjoy Labor Day weekend with us here at beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, they'll be fireworks and blues, jazz, golf, boats, sun and to check out the shopping, visit JCAD. If I get to see you, I'll be sure to give you a JCAD brochure! Hope to see you soon! |
