Cloudy out and much cooler as we head West on Hwy 54. Lots of traffic out. Wonderful to see the clouds. Doing a rain dance in the Toyota. We need rain really bad. Stopped by the Post Office, we're so proud of our new P.O. in Osage Beach. It's a pretty building. On down to get gasoline in Camdenton for 109.9 Up Hwy 5 North to Hwy 7 at Greenview. Thru Climax Springs. Such a beautiful day out. Took Hwy 65 at Mike and Nancy's Corner Store. Thru Warsaw, population 1,696 to take Hwy 7 to the Clinton exit. If you get a chance, stop and see the Truman Dam Visitors Center. It's a nice stop and the view is lovely. Crossed the Truman Lake Osage Arm bridge. What a pretty blue lake. Three boats on the right enjoying a day of fishing. Seagulls are working the shoal. Into Clinton and stopped by Country Cupboard. to listen to Sandra whine about whiners. On over to Wagon Wheel Antiques - their page is kicking butt! Met dealers and even got to look at the web page on the computer at their store! Kay is wonderful as always. On over to The Emporium Flea Mall and had a great visit with Tom and Barbara! On down Hwy 52 to Calhoun. Really a nice ride. Came across a Semi stopped in the road and a tractor and wagon in the field. Loading grain into the Semi. Big white fluffy clouds in a bright blue sky. Hodge Podge of calves, Brown Swiss, Hereford, Angus, someone's been to the sale barn! Hwy V ends at Hwy C. Take a left to go to Lincoln, Missouri. Crossed Truman Lake Barker Arm and the community of Roseland. New back ways for us! Passed out brochures to every antique store in Lincoln, population 874. On into Stover, population 964 and met folks at a new collectible store on Hwy 52! On into Versailles, population 2,635 and our fannies are draggin'. Happily we drove the back way home!

Sun just starting to come up as we head West on Hwy 54. Foggy down by the Osage River. Lots of big trucks out at 6:30 a.m. Crossed Bagnell Dam and at Hwy MM we turned to go across the toll bridge. Lake is looking good today! Dropped off our neighbors, Ray and John at work. Up to Hwy 65 and stopped to see Mike and Nancy at their store! Friday is smoked ribs day! Sure smells good! Up Hwy 65 to Hwy M on right. Drove by the Elks Lodge. Next was the American Legion and they have a BIG tank out front. Hang a left onto South Hwy 83. Hang a right at the Public Use Area called Osage Bluff. Park, campground, motel and picnic area. It's part of the Harry S. Truman Lake Reservoir. Beautiful bluffs. Crossed the bridge at Truman Lake Big Pomme Arm. Magnificently blue! Next bridge is the Little Pomme De Terre Arm. Big limestone bluffs and forests of green trees. A real nice road. Turn right onto Hwy 82. Entering St. Clair County. Farmland, cows and lots of nice vehicles for sale in the community of Harper. Big round bales of hay are in the fields. Hwy 82 is a bouncy road! Yee Haw! :) Truman Lake Weableau Arm. What a view! You can see for miles and miles. Crossed bridge at Brush Creek, they named that right! That's all there is-brush! Left on Hwy 13 and down to visit with Paul and Kathy at Trade Fair Mall. Had a nice visit and got a wonderful update! Busy day, let's head home the back way!

Tuesday afternoon. Off to drive down Hwy 54. Lots of traffic out. At Camdenton, take Hwy 5 South to Hwy 7. Turn left and go thru Montreal and down to Richland. Crossed several creeks, but as I'm driving instead of writing, I didn't get the names. It's mighty dry around here, too. We all need rain really bad. Had a wonderful visit at Fleas R Us! Katherine is always nice to visit with. Elmer got there before I left. Got to show him the URL on the truck. They're still having their sale after hours the last Monday of each month. GREAT place to shop! Unusual displays and always something unique. Tell 'em JCAD sent ya! On down Hwy 7 to cross I-44 to visit at a new store. I-44 Flea Market on the right. It's 3 weeks old. Marcia welcomed me in and later got to meet Dean, the owner. Booth space is available, nice clean store! Traveling home the back way by using Hwy A to Hwy C and then Back to Hwy 54. See you soon!

Cloudy out as I head East on Hwy 54 to do updates. Seems strange to be traveling without my darlin'. He's working on the computer and I'm going locally. Had a strong feeling to go visit with the Boyds at Aged to Perfection off the Eugene (Hwy 17 Eugene/Ft. Leonard Wood)exit. Rascal, the dog met me at the door, rang the doorbell as their store is next door to their home. Mr. Lloyd Boyd came over to the shop. Gave him some brochures and had a nice visit. He told me I'd better sit down. I was in shock! He wants to sign up with JCAD! Wow! We've been visiting 2 years now! How wonderful! Got to meet his daughter, Judy and had a great visit. Welcome to the JCAD family! Such fantastic quality furniture! Worked a few hours and now I'm off to Eldon. Got storefront photo's at Past 'N Present and had a great visit with Lola. Met Robert from Lamar signs. Eldon Antique Stores are making a billboard and hope they do add the URL to this! How wonderful! Stop by and visit whenever you travel the back way! Bye!
