I must write of all the beautiful sites I've seen this morning as my Darlin' and I try to make it out of the driveway and out on the blacktop road. Yesterday and the day before, we had over 24 hours of watching it snow and snow and snow. Such pretty flakes, changing sizes all day long. Well, we ended up with around 12 inches of beautiful soft snow, not counting the snow drifts that come above my knees! Marty and I were out playing yesterday in it, too soft and fluffy to make a snowman or even a snowball! But lots to shovel. Thanks Darlin and MT for shoveling the driveway and walkway to the door and to the woodpile! As we travel West on Hwy 54, the limestone bluffs and all the tree branches are outlined in pretty white. The cedar trees are at their best! Both sides of Hwy 54 have one lane open. We made it down to Osage Beach and found us a new print shop! It's called Arrowhead Printing and its located in the shopping center between the National Bank and the Elks Lodge. Met the owner, Matt, and liked his attitude, prices and quality of work. He even has e-mail! Yes! Left a JCAD brochure and we will be ordering the next card stock paper from him! Stopped at the Post Office and gave away JCAD brochure to folks whose vehicle had info about show promotions. On down to Wal-Mart to stock up on supplies to be snowed in for awhile. Everyone from the greeter at the door, to the cashier all got a JCAD brochure. Come see us online! Even left a brochure on the bulletin board out by the front doors. Out we go into the sleet and snow, cold blowing winds to try and get home. On Hwy 54, as we approached the bridge for the Osage River, there were many flashing lights. Have a wrecker on one side, a Highway Patrol car behind him. The wrecker is pulling out a big 4-Wheel drive Ford truck from the ditch. There is a jeep in front of us, as he came off the bridge, he did a 180 and now they are facing us in the highway. Made it through that safely, look out, we need to gather enough speed to make it up the next hill. It is an extremely exciting back way for us today. Our side road is nothing but ice, wonderful Darlin' did his best and we are thankful to be home. Ya'll please, be careful!

Another cold, snowy day. We've been busy working on web pages and so proud to say that we ordered paper for our newest brochures online from the print shop and they e-mailed back that the paper has arrived! On down to see Matt at Arrowhead Printing. He's located in the Glaize Bridge Shopping Center at 5151 Highway 54 in Suite G in Osage Beach, MO. Please be sure to tell 'em Joe and Cathy from JCAD sent ya! We slid in to get our paper, down to the Post office, more groceries and away we go! Back home and my Darlin' is busy printing our latest brochure and I'm busy folding them! We look forward to the new year, new stores, new sponsors and new friends along the way. We have certainly enjoyed telling you about our travels this year! Stay tuned to the Back Way, we plan on bigger and better in 2001!
